Payouts
Receive your payouts to a wallet or bank account, automatically and on the schedule you choose.
Payouts are how PayMongo transfers your earned funds to your nominated bank account or wallet. Once your customers' payments have been processed and cleared, PayMongo automatically consolidates them and sends the total to you — no manual requests needed.
Payouts are a critical part of your business cash flow. PayMongo is committed to delivering your funds in a timely, transparent, and secure manner, so you can focus on running your business.
Key things to know upfront:
- Payouts are automatically generated — you don't need to request them manually.
- Funds are transferred after payments have been cleared, not immediately after a customer pays.
- You can monitor all payout activity directly from your PayMongo Dashboard.
- PayMongo does not charge any fees for receiving payouts.
Eligible payments
A payment becomes eligible for payout only after it has been cleared through PayMongo's settlement partners. Clearing timelines vary by payment method:
| Payment method | Clearing period |
|---|---|
| Visa / Mastercard | 3 banking days |
| E-wallets (GCash, GrabPay, Maya, ShopeePay) | 2 banking days |
| BPI and UnionBank Online Banking | 1 banking day |
| QR Ph | 1 banking day |
| BillEase | 1 banking day |
Note: Clearing only happens on banking days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays). Payments made after 5 PM on a banking day are processed the following banking day.
Want faster clearing? You can contact [email protected] to request a T+1 clearing configuration, which means all payment methods will clear on the next banking day after the payment date. Eligibility may vary depending on your account standing.
Payout generation
Payout generation starts every day at 9:00 AM Philippine Time (PHT). This is the moment when PayMongo creates a payout record containing all your eligible cleared payments. Payout generation is not the same as the actual bank transfer — it is the start of the process, after which internal review and processing take place before funds are sent.
Payout cutoff
The cutoff determines which payments are included in your upcoming payout. Only payments cleared on or before your payout generation date will be included. Payments cleared after that date roll over to your Next Payout.
Upcoming payout
The soonest payout you are scheduled to receive. It includes all eligible cleared payments up to your payout cutoff date. The amount shown already accounts for deductions such as refunds, disputes, and adjustments.
Next payout
The payout after your Upcoming Payout. It contains payments that are still clearing and did not make the current payout cutoff.
Payout generation schedule
Payouts are generated every day at 9:00 AM Philippine Time (PHT). However, the actual transfer of funds to your account follows your configured schedule. By default, your payout schedule is set to weekly every Wednesday, but you can change this to better match your business needs:
| Schedule | Details | How to set |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | Every Wednesday | Available in your PayMongo Dashboard |
| Bi-Weekly | Every two weeks | Available in your PayMongo Dashboard |
| Monthly | Once a month on a custom date of your choosing | Available in your PayMongo Dashboard |
| Daily | Every banking day | Contact [email protected] to request |
| Custom | Any other schedule that fits your business | Contact [email protected] to request |
Note: Payouts falling on a public holiday are processed on the next available banking day. To change your schedule, go to the Payouts section in your PayMongo Dashboard, or email [email protected] for daily or custom arrangements.
Payout destination
Payouts land in your PayMongo Wallet. The Wallet must be registered and verified in your PayMongo account.
Want payouts in your bank or e-wallet? You can configure a workflow in your PayMongo Dashboard that automatically forwards each payout from your Wallet to a registered bank account or e-wallet, right after the payout lands.
Payout statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| In Transit | Your payout has been sent to your bank or wallet and is on its way. |
| Deposited | Your payout has been successfully credited to your account. |
| On Hold | Your payout has been temporarily paused, usually due to a compliance or risk review. Check your email for instructions. |
| Returned | Your payout could not be delivered, typically due to incorrect or incomplete bank/wallet details. |
Minimum payout amount
The minimum amount required to trigger a payout depends on your payout destination:
| Destination | Minimum amount |
|---|---|
| Bank Account | PHP 80.00 |
| PayMongo Wallet | PHP 1.00 |
If your cleared balance is below the minimum for your destination, it will roll over to the next payout cycle.
Best practices
Follow these recommendations to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted payout experience.
Keep your payout destination up to date
-
For faster settlement, your payout will be deposited in your PayMongo Wallet. However, if you want it to be automatically sent to your bank account, you must ensure that you have filled in your Bank Information under Settings -> Business Information.
Ensure you have a valid bank account or e-wallet linked to your PayMongo profile. Double-check:
- Bank name
- Account name (must match your registered business or personal name)
- Account number
Incorrect or incomplete bank details are the #1 cause of returned payouts. Always verify your details carefully. -
Always update your bank account or wallet details before your payout generation date if you're changing banks.
-
Email [email protected] promptly with accurate details to avoid returned payouts.
-
Double-check that the account name exactly matches your registered name with PayMongo.
Monitor your dashboard regularly
- Check your Payouts Dashboard frequently.
- Review payout statuses and reconcile them against your bank or wallet statement.
- If a payout is On Hold or Returned, act on it immediately by reading the email notification from PayMongo and contacting support if needed.
Understand your clearing schedule
- Plan your cash flow around clearing timelines. Card payments take longer (3 banking days) compared to QR Ph or online banking (1 banking day).
- Payments made after 5 PM are treated as next-day transactions.
- Payments made on weekends or holidays will not begin clearing until the next banking day.
Check your balance before the dashboard updates
- Due to interbank processing, your funds may arrive in your bank or wallet before the dashboard shows "Deposited." Always check your actual bank or wallet balance for the most current information.
Keep cleared payments above the minimum
- For bank account payouts, ensure you have at least PHP 80.00 in cleared payments to trigger a payout.
- For PayMongo Wallet payouts, the minimum is just PHP 1.00.
- If your balance is below the minimum for your destination, it will roll over to the next payout cycle.
Respond quickly to On Hold notifications
- If your payout is placed On Hold, check your email from [email protected] immediately.
- Provide any requested documents or information promptly to avoid delays in receiving your funds.
- Once cleared, your payout will be processed within the same business day.
Use payout history for accounting
- Export your payout history from the dashboard for bookkeeping and reconciliation.
- Each payout record includes a breakdown of total sales, adjustments, refunds, and disputes — making it easy to match against your own records.
For holidays and long weekends
- Be aware of upcoming public holidays that may delay your scheduled payout.
- Payouts scheduled on holidays will be processed on the next banking day — plan your cash flow accordingly.
