Quick start

You will go from the built-in dashboard view to your first Prism query in the fewest steps.

1. Open the dashboard analytics view

Open the Analytics section in the PayMongo Dashboard and start with the built-in dashboard analytics view. This is the fastest way to get an initial read on revenue trends and transaction breakdowns.

2. Review a built-in report

Look at the revenue and transaction views for the time period you care about. If a built-in view answers your question, you can stop there and use that report for review or sharing.

3. Move to Prism when you need a custom cut of the data

Open Prism when you need a report that the built-in dashboard view does not provide. Prism is PayMongo's built-in SQL query tool for custom reporting and data export.

4. Start from the schema or a query template

Review the schema to understand which tables and fields are available. If a query template matches your goal, start there to get to a result faster.

5. Run your first query and review the result

Run the query and confirm that the returned data matches the question you are trying to answer. If the result looks right, export it or save the workflow as a recurring process for later use.
